All photos from our shoot will be meticulously edited and presented to you at our home studio during a private viewing session. Your viewing session will take place 2 – 4 weeks following your photo session. Expect your viewing session to last about an hour. At this time you can view our product offerings & even place your print orders. Make sure mom knows, because she is required to come along.
Do your homework
Be sure to review our senior galleries and pricing with mom to make sure she’s on board to choose SP as your senior photographer. Remember, we gotta make mom happy too!
Warning…
I am NOT a fan of stale, sit up straight with your chin-on-your-fist and tilt your head to the left department store photography. Stiff, staged, unnatural posing with fake wooded backdrop is NOT my style. I am not a photographer who colors within the lines. I am an artist. I’m creative. I thrive on coming up with new and fun ideas and setups. I adapt to you and the environment.
In my sessions, you’re not just another senior portrait session… you’re a model in a semi-high fashion art shoot.
If you need to reschedule please do so at least 24 hours in advance. The rescheduling of an appointment within less than 24 hours of the session time will be charged a fee of $50. In the event that you need to reschedule, your purchased session fee, which is non-refundable, will be honored by Sash Photography for one year. Session time will begin at the scheduled time whether or not the client is present. Failing to show for a scheduled session, will result in forfeiting the entire session fee without ability to reschedule.
Rescheduling
Prints & Products
Your print & product orders must be placed within one week following your viewing session. You are welcome to upgrade your package at this time. Your images will appear in a private online viewing gallery for the duration of this week. At the end of the allotted week, your online viewing gallery will expire, as will any special discounts. You can re-open your viewing gallery for an additional week for a $30 fee, however, discounts will not apply to prints or boutique products purchased at this time.

NO MININUM PURCHASE REQUIREMENT:
Unlike many studios, we absolutely do not require a minimum print purchase after your session. Our average client invests around $500-600, but every client is different and investments vary. It is entirely up to you how much you want to invest in your senior portraits. Our packages & a-la-cart print options are designed to offer you flexibility to suit your needs. We have created awesome print packages designed to offer you more value for your investment. Your session is booked with your session fee. You get to choose your print package or order a-la-cart after your session date.
ART... NOT JUST PORTRAITS!
Alluzions Photographic pro-photographer, is not only a photographer, but an artist. This means that our skills stretch far beyond the standard posing technique and equipment functionality of the average photographer. Our photography encompasses subject and environment to create more than just standard portraits… we create works of art.
LOCATION SHOOTS:
Portraiture has changed. You no longer want the cheesy studio poses of the nineties… thank goodness!… neither do we! Our sessions are on location. What does this mean? More fun for you… and us! It gives us ultimate flexibility to choose our surroundings. Hamilton County is our playground! You want bridges? Old brick? Awesome colors? Industrial? Trees? Railroad tracks? You got it! No cheesy wooded backdrop for us. We want the real thing!
YOUR SESSION IS ADAPTED TO YOU:
We know that you are different. This means that no two sessions are ever the same. Forget standard posing… We choose a unique location environment and work in the moment to create a look that works best to accentuate you… your personality, your attitude, your style. Our shoots are completely stylistic. Let us show you what its like to experience a professional photo shoot.
WE DON'T PUT LIMITS ON YOU!
Two outfits? Are you kidding?! Bring your closet! Why would we tell you how many clothing changes you can or can’t have? We want to capture all sides of you… grit to glam… I am an artist, I love fashion! Please bring at least five to ten outfits. Colors, textures, pattern… ruffles, fishnets… casual, high class… the works! We absolutely do NOT limit how many poses you’re allowed in your session or for your print package orders. You’re beautiful… we know you’ll want them all!
ADDITIONAL NOTE....
Sessions are limited only to however many clothing changes you want and how many photos we are able to take within our time frame. Props that express who you are now are greatly welcomed… your sweet car, skateboard, guitar, sunnies, favorite baby doll… bring it all! This is all about you!

What’s a Viewing Session?
A viewing session is a date we set for you and mom (yes, mom is required to come, so make sure she knows!) to come visit me to view all the edited photos from our photo session. This is when I get to pamper you for being my guest! (I love hosting) At this time, we’ll sit, relax, laugh, giggle, and feel fuzzy and happy looking at how amazing you are. This is also your purchasing session, which means you get to pick out all the photos you want (this’ll be tough, I think you’ll want them all) and place your order. Please note that payment must be made in full at the time of purchase. After that, it takes only about 2 weeks for your order to be completed and shipped to your house. It’s fun, and exciting!
Picture with Mom? Of course! We all love mom and dad. We’d be HAPPY to grab a quick shot, but the focus today is on you.
Can I get a disc of images?
I do offer a printable disc as an additional purchase, for you to share and print your images for personal use only.
What’s included with Session?
Your session includes the expertise and undivided time and attention of our professional photographer. With our photographic expertise and artistic background, you don’t get just a portrait session… you get the experience of a semi-high fashioned photo shoot! Your session also includes hours of meticulous post processing to give your photos a super professional finish. You also get on line viewing, your session also includes your Yearbook Photo and at least one Facebook profile pic.
When can I see my Photos?
After our photo session, we will schedule a viewing/purchasing session which will take place about 2 - 3 weeks after our shoot. By that date, I will have professionally edited all your awesome, gorgeous superstar Senior Photos and will have them ready to present to you during our viewing session.
When do I purchase my Photos?
You will purchase your photos during your viewing session. Please see info about your viewing session above.
When will Prints be ready?
Your prints should arrive at your home within two weeks.

Is there a minimum purchase requirement?
Absolutely not. There is no requirement to order prints. It is entirely up to you how much you want to invest in your senior portraits. Although, you’re going to look amazing… I know you’ll want them all!
Should I have my hair & makeup professionally done?
I highly recommend it. Having your hair and makeup done professionally contributes greatly to your confidence and how you feel during our shoot. Your confidence level majorly affects how your photos turn out. Professional makeup also perfects your skin tone and covers up any minor blemishes.
Remember, you are a model during my session. Models always have their hair and makeup professionally done. Believe me, you’ll be happier with your overall results.

Session or Base Package fees, which are non-refundable, are due in full at the time of scheduling in order to reserve your session date. Payment for print orders, which is non-refundable, is due in full at time of ordering. There is a $35 charge for bounced checks. No refunds on sessions or prints. No exceptions.

What to Wear for Senior Portraits
What Props to Bring to a Senior Portrait Session
Accessorize... Yep, this goes for guys too. It sounds dorky, but seriously, accessories are key! They make a plain outfit look rad. Consider some of my favorites… fedoras (or other awesome hats), belts, sweet shoes, a tie, vest, cowboy boots, feather earrings, sunglasses, big bracelets, hair flowers, gloves…
Love it... Most importantly, bring stuff you love! Stuff you feel comfortable in. Stuff that makes you feel amazing. Lack of comfort and confidence really affects your photos. Remember all those ’90′s portraits when guys were looking all awkward because they were forced to wear a suit and tie? That will not be you! I want you to look and feel amazing… I want you to rock the camera! (note: Don’t worry if mom makes you bring your track suit. We’ll appease her briefly and get on with our thing.)
Color... Definitely bring some black and some solid colors, but also please bring a few pieces with vibrant color. Blues, Yellows, Greens, Reds… I love color that pops! It could be an accessory… big yellow earrings, a purple belt or hat. It could be shoes… yellow Converse, red boots. It could be a jacket, lipstick or a shirt. Just bring a few pieces to add a splash of color to make your photos pop.
Variety... I shoot grit ‘n glam. That means I love mixing and matching rags, prom dresses, and everything in between. Bring a variety to work with… clothes, accessories & shoes. You’ll be happy you did. Just remember… Love what you bring to wear. Wear what makes you feel confident. Have fun. And, yeah… bring your prom dress.
Ten Outfits Please... Yes, it’s true, I like you to bring about 10 outfits to your Senior Portrait Session. We may not use them all, but why limit ourselves?
’Timeless’, ‘Sassy’, ‘Bold’... Focus on a word that describes the look you want while digging through your closet, and pick out the clothing that speaks to you. I’m not talking about just one outfit… please bring more than that! Bring an outfit to suite several descriptive words.
Texture... Texture can come in so many forms… a large knit sweater, ruffles on a skirt, fishnet stockings, polka dot rain boots… it simply adds an extra element. If you’ve got some texture, bring it.
Props... I’m including props in the ‘what to wear’ post because many props add to your outfit. A yellow umbrella, some giant balloons, an old school beach cruiser, a cute little fuzzy bunny. You get the idea.

Seniors… How it Works
So, you’re about to book your session, or maybe you already have,
And you’re wondering… what happens now?
After you’ve done your homework and have reviewed our style and pricing with mom, it’s time to book your session! We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. Darlynn Portraits specializes in creative outdoor portraiture. Your session will be hosted outdoors in the location of your choosing. If you’re unsure of where you want your session to take place, no sweat… we’re good at coming up with locations to suit your style.
